Description:
White or colorless granules or crystalline powder (soluble in water) without odor and with a specific "umami" taste, which is obtained, mainly, from animal products, and can also be obtained by bacterial fermentation of sugar.
Applications:
It is primarily used as a flavor enhancer, and most often in combination with MSG, where it provides the famous "umami" taste - the fifth base taste, which is described as "meaty" or "full of flavor", and deepens the taste of food. Disodium inosinate is also utilized in combination with disodium guanylate.

Description:
White crystals or crystalline powder (soluble in water) without odor and with a slightly salty taste, better known as MSG. It is obtained by fermentation of starch, sugar beet, sugar cane, or molasses. It is a sodium salt of natural non-essential amino acid glutamic acid.
Applications:
It is primarily used as a flavor enhancer in soups, sauces, spices, stuffing, and meat products, and can be utilized as a supplement for almost everything in food products, except sweets and desserts.
